Inspired by… evergreen100

For the month of September I am going to let myself be inspired by the wonderful members of Digital Scrapbook Place and their layouts. There are so many fantastic layouts added every day and what better way to find inspiration then to look around for a bit and well…. steal a few ideas. It is totally okay to steal, as long as we call it a scraplift and remember to credit the original maker.

My first layout is inspired by member evergreen100. Jill is a fabulous scrapper and I’m constantly amazed by her often very minimalistic layouts. I adore white space layouts but often my layouts feel a bit overfilled despite my effort to keep it to a minimum.

What I really liked about this one is definitely the clean lines and how everything is placed just right to enhance the focus on both the journaling and photo. This is such a wonderful layout. Image is linked, don’t forget to stop by and show it some love.

And here’s my layout. The basic build is the same but I couldn’t resist having something that would fill up the page just a bit and the number word art was just fabulous for doing that.

1988

I’ve used the new School Days Mega Kit by DSP Designers. And yes that is me, having yet another bad hair day on my school photo from first grade in 1988. I had just changed school in the middle of the school year and although that that is never any fun I still absolutely loved going to school.

I kind of like the layout Jill inspired me to make but I still love hers a lot more then mine. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks
