The Trendsetter contest has just begun at Digital Scrapbook Place. The game is simple. You buy the IOTW kit (which is yours for just 99 cents) and then it’s up to you to change the kit any way you like to make something fabulous. Piece of cake, right?
Now I’m not a trendsetter although I did win this contest years ago when I guess the competition wasn’t quite as fierce, but I couldn’t resist to play a bit with the kit myself. Especially since I needed to get a layout done today for my Consistent Scrapper challenge.
I used the wave distortion filter on the overlay from the kit to make the background, erased a petal from the flower and turned it into the butterflies along with the swirls from the word art. I took the floral branch and used the polar coordinates filter to make the semi round framing for the photo and finally took just a piece of the frame to make the tag. Again I used the polar coordinates filter.
As you see, I’m not particular trendsetting, but at least I had fun while making the layout.
